Event Details
- Event: XAG Ag Drone Demonstration Day
- Date: Friday, 15 May 2026
- Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM AEST
- Location: Goulburn Workers Arena, Finlay Rd, Goulburn NSW 2580
Last Friday, the local farming community gathered at theGoulburn Workers Arena for the Ag Drone Demonstration Day to witness firsthandhow drone technology is transforming day-to-day farm operations. Run inpartnership with XAG Australia, Elders, and Aland AI Drones, the eventshowcased the latest in high-capacity agricultural drone technology—the XAGP150 Max.
For many Goulburn landowners in attendance, the technologydirectly addresses one of their most pressing operational hurdles.
"One of my biggest challenges is trying to get tractorsonto the paddocks, especially when they're wet and damp, which creates too muchdamage," said a local beef cattle farmer who attended the demonstration."I see the drones as a massive asset, especially for the speed that theycan work without having to disturb the soil profile in any way."
The field day featured live demonstrations of the drones'in-flight spraying capabilities, giving attendees an up-close look at theaerial operations. Beyond the flight demonstrations, the event provided avaluable platform for local farmers and agricultural specialists to exchangeinsights on modern planting and crop management techniques. Attendees alsolearned about the highly efficient battery-recharging mechanisms set up on theback of work trucks by Aland AI Drones, which ensures continuous operation outin the field.
Local agricultural contractors are also seeing the immediatebenefits of this transition. A representative from Aland AI Drones noted thatthe new technology is a "massive game changer" for the localagriculture industry.
"With the weather, it constricts you from whatmachinery you're able to use. With the drones, you don't have to worry if it'swet or if it's too soft to get into a paddock. You can just fly straightin," the Aland representative explained. "It makes a world ofdifference for both us as contractors and the farmers."
The event provided a strong visual story of how practicalinnovation and shared agricultural knowledge are being deployed locally. Bybringing this advanced equipment directly to the community, XAG Australia andits partners are empowering Goulburn farmers to manage their land moreefficiently and sustainably, regardless of ground conditions.
