FarmFest Draws Massive Crowds to Kingsthorpe
Kingsthorpe was buzzing recently as almost 20,000 visitors arrived to explore the best of FarmFest. The massive event featured 2,000 companies that brought $124 million worth of products to showcase to the agricultural community. Attendees, both young and old, explored a variety of attractions, from enjoying the farm animals to discovering the newest high-tech equipment available for modern farming.
Surging Demand for Drone Technology
One of the major highlights of the event was the display of new ag drones, which are rapidly becoming a staple in the industry. The Oztech spray drone was featured as one of the latest agritech innovations on show at the event. According to Jamin Fleming from Oztech Drones, there has been a crazy amount of sales to people who are taking on this new technology on their farms. As growers look for more efficient ways to manage their land, utilizing a reliable agricultural drone has become an increasingly popular choice. The ability of modern farming drones to perform complex tasks efficiently is clearly resonating with the market.
Community Support and Industry Competitions
Beyond the impressive machinery, FarmFest also focused on community support and industry skills. Lloyd's Auctions held live and online auctions with the goal of raising $30,000 to assist recent flood victims, selling goods to help people who have lost houses and equipment. Additionally, the country's best Caterpillar operators competed in a field of their own, trialing for the world's largest construction competition to demonstrate their accuracy, skill, and safety when operating heavy machinery.
